Abstract

This research examines the role of the Education Council in improving the quality of education in Bangkalan Regency. The focus of this research is what is the role of the Education Council in improving the quality of education in Bantaeng Regency? The aim of this research is to determine the role of the Education Council in improving the quality of education in Bantaeng Regency. The approach used in this research is a descriptive approach with a qualitative type. The data collection procedures used are observation, interviews, documentation. The subjects in this research were 9 people, consisting of various sources (Chairman of the Education Council, Head of the Education Service, School Committee, School Principal, Chair of DPRD Commission A for Education). Data analysis is carried out interactively and is carried out continuously. The results of the research show that the role of the Education Council in improving the quality of education in Bangkalan Regency, although there are still many shortcomings, however, the role of the Education Council can run well, it is proven that the role of the Education Council as a consideration body, as a supporter, as a controller and as a mediator has been running optimally. The results of the research can be concluded that the role of the Education Council in improving the quality of education in Bangkalan Regency has been carried out optimally and well.
