Abstract

This research aims to utilize adventure-based learning to encourage collaboration and creativity in grade 4 elementary school students. The classroom action research method was used for 2 cycles to observe the impact of using the approach on student participation, interaction between students, and their level of creativity. Data was collected through classroom observations and analysis of student work results. The research results show that the application of Adventure Based Learning significantly increases collaboration between students during the learning process. Students are actively involved in group activities, helping each other, and sharing ideas. Apart from that, students' creativity levels also increased significantly. They are more courageous in experimenting with new ideas for alternative solutions in solving challenges. These findings indicate that Adventure Based Learning can be an effective approach to promote collaboration and creativity in 4th grade elementary school students. The practical implication of this research is the importance of introducing learning approaches that are challenging and require collaboration between students to stimulate the development of their social and cognitive skills
